yoohoo were asked to create a brand for the Sphere along with promotional materials and a website. The logo needed to reflect the “young” nature of the businesses using the facility but not so much as to say “inexperience or novice” as it is intended that the small enterprises will grow quickly and become bigger well respected companies. The logo also needed to reflect the centres latest communications technology making the offices well equipped for any user.
In order to reflect ‘digital’ and ‘sphere’ we designed a circular device using dots to form a start button logo commonly found on the front of your computer and digital devices. We matched that with a medium weight sans serif font slightly rounded on the edges to soften the image and give it a contemporary look.
Whilst run by Worthing & Adur Chamber, it has been set up as a separate business so the colours needed to ‘nod’ to the chamber brand but be different enough to be distinguished as something separate. The colour palette consisted of three main colours for the logo, aubergine as the anchor colour supported by magenta and a mint green.
